When is Deepavali 2022?
Deepavali, or Diwali as many call it, is based on the Indian calendar that is internationally used. In that sense, it will usually fall between mid-October to early November or the month of Kartik.
This year, Deepavali falls on October 22 to 26, with the big celebrations on October 24 (A Monday).
The celebrations will usually last 5 days, each day having a different outcome and celebration. The main festival happens on the 3rd Day – the best time to worship the God of Wealth, Goddess Lakshmi. Like other big community festivities, Deepavali is a time for family reunions.
In India, they celebrate the 5 days of holidays. Only the primary day is celebrated in other parts of the world.
