The month of Ramadan is highly anticipated by Muslims as it is a time of worship that is rewarded more abundantly than in other months.
From visiting the bazaar to buying food and preparing it for Iftar, the experience brings about feelings of satisfaction and gratitude.
Here’s a list of lively Ramadhan bazaars in KL to get your tummy rumbling!
1. Official Imsak and Iftar Times 2023
The question that often plays in the mind of every Muslim is, “what time can I break my fast?”
The Maghrib call to prayer that marks the time of Iftar varies according to the state and the zones within the country.
Don’t worry because the complete schedule for Imsak and Iftar for 2023 has already been scheduled by JAKIM!
So, you can refer to this schedule so that you can perfectly plan your trip to the Ramadhan bazaars!
2. Ramadhan Bazaars You Must Visit
1. Bazar Ramadhan Taman Melawati
Taman Melawati Ramadhan Bazaar located in the parking lot next to Melawati Mall is an underrated option. Although the bazaar is not as big as the other bazaars on this list, it has more than enough variety.
From traditional Malay sweets such as Kuih Tepung Pelita, to Roti John, Grilled Fish and Kambing Golek, many other menu items are also featured in this medium-sized bazaar.
Moreover, it is easy to visit, either via Grab or by parking at Melawati Mall.
In terms of crowding, this bazaar is rarely crowded – however, you should arrive before 6 o’clock to avoid the crowd.
2. Bazar Ramadhan Kampung Baru
Bazar Ramadhan Kampung Baru is one of the most popular bazaars in the whole of Malaysia. Therefore, it does not need any further introduction.
Here you can try all the flavors in the Malaysian taste spectrum; the golden Ayam Percik is grilled with its sweet spicy sauce, the umami of Murtabak Cheese and the creamy concentration of Kampung Baru’s proud Bubur Lambuk.
Welcome to food heaven!
3. Bazar Ramadhan Pantai Dalam
This is another bazaar that can be categorized as underrated because it is rarely visited by those who live further away.
There are a variety of chicken-based dishes such as — as you’d expect — Ayam Percik and, if you’re looking to change your palate, Ayam Golek which is sizzling with the char and spices of its marinade.
However, it is recommended that you take a Grab or taxi to the bazaar as the parking area is very limited.
4. Bazar Ramadhan @ RapidKL LRT Stations
