You too, can be Barbie in the plastic and fantastic hot pink palace!
It’s less than a month before the highly anticipated Barbie movie. Fans’ excitement are at an all time high, and now they have a chance to live their childhood dreams with a free one night’s stay at the iconic life-sized Barbie DreamHouse.
Courtesy of Airbnb, anyone can rent out the real-life version of the DreamHouse for a night on July 21 and 22.
“While everyone’s favourite doll makes her live-action film debut, Ken is handing over the keys and hosting an overnight stay in the newly renovated and iconic Malibu Dreamhouse.”

1. Where is the Barbie DreamHouse Airbnb located?
The DreamHouse sits right along the stunning Malibu coastline surrounded by ocean and beach – a sunny sanctuary for summer lovers.

2. What’s in the Barbie DreamHouse?
The panoramic oceanview home interior boasts an infinity pool, a workout space, a life-sized horse statue, a roller skating dance floor, a closet full of Barbie and Ken clothes, a barbeque pit…
… basically everything you never knew you wanted, decked out in pretty pink.

3. What to expect from your stay in the DreamHouse
Since Barbie’s away to promote the movie, the Airbnb will be hosted by none other than rollerblading-loving Ken. (He’s even got an official Host profile!)
Ken gives us an overview of what to expect from your stay in the DreamHouse in the official Airbnb listing description:
“During your stay, you will have the opportunity to live in technicolor by:
- Taking a spin through my awesome wardrobe to find your best beach fit. Look out Barbie, I’ve got quite the closet too!
- Channeling your inner cowboy and learning a line dance or two on my outdoor disco dance floor or performing a sunset serenade on my guitar
- Challenging your fellow guests to a “beach off” with plenty of sunbathing and chillaxing by the infinity pool
- Taking home a piece of my Kendom with your very own set of yellow-and-pink Impala skates and surfboard”
If that doesn’t scream full Barbie experience enough, we don’t know what does.
4. How can you stay in the Barbie DreamHouse?
On July 17, fans will be able to submit a request to book a stay for up to two guests on July 21 and 22.
And the fee? Zero dollars. Airbnb tells why:
“Because Ken couldn’t figure out how to put a price on Barbie’s Malibu Dreamhouse – after all, Ken’s thing is beach, not math.”
Barbie releases in cinemas in Malaysia this 20th July 2023.
